I always wondered how Eggnog tastes like since this is not really a drink that we enjoy here in Switzerland. We love to cook up some wine with spices, that’s how we do. I tried it once and it’s nice. don’t get me wrong, but Eggnog is traditionally made with eggs and sugar, milk, bourbon and nutmeg. And just drinking anything that contains raw eggs really seems weird to me so I figured I need a vegan version. So a vegan and alcohol-free version is what I created for you. I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I do.
Servings: 2
Ingredients
- 350ml dairy-free milk, I used almond milk
- 200ml coconut milk
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon plus more for serving
- 1/3 tsp ground nutmeg
How to make the Vegan Eggnog
Simply place all the ingredients in a blender and mix until creamy, for about 2 minutes. Add more spices if you like or of course, add some alcohol like bourbon if you wanna have some extra fun. Serve with a sprinkle of ground cinnamon and enjoy a christmassy evening.
